On Friday afternoon, the P5/6 boys and girls from St. Peter’s, St. Joseph’s and St Clare’s competed in a football/hurling blitz at Grosvenor Recreation Centre. This event was a first for this age group, organised by Davitts juvenile mentors and school teachers.
St Peter’s ‘A’ team won both the boys and girls sections, but the real winner was to have over 80 children playing our national games. Big thanks to county player Simon McCrory for supporting the event.
Working alongside our local schools will help to grow our club and ensure we continue to provide Gaelic games for the young and old in the community. Today’s competition will help to lay those foundations.
Thanks also to the parents who were there to cheer on the schools.
