A slow start to this game saw us trail the home side by 4 points after 24 minutes and it could have been more as goalkeeper Aaron Slane produced a great save, pushing a goal bound shot over the bar. Michael Connolly opened our account with a well taken point and a Gerard Slane pointed free halved the arrears. However Con Magee’s responded with a long range point and on the stroke of half time squeezed a shot to the back of the net to take a 1-4 to 0-2 lead at the break.
We doubled our tally on the restart with points from Padraig McParland and another from Michael Connolly but 3 points on the bounce from Con Magee’s kept them in control. Aaron and Gerard Slane points reduced their lead to 4 but they finished strongly adding a further 3 points with our final score coming from an Aaron Slane pointed free, with the Glenravel men taking the win 1-10 to 0-7.
