The senior footballers opened their league campaign with a defeat away to Gortnamona at Enright Park. For the majority of the game this was a tight affair with never more than two points between the teams. However, with the score level and seven minutes left on the clock the Gorts struck a deadly blow with a goal to edge three in front. This appeared to knock the stuffing out us and we slipped into defensive mood which allowed Gortnamona to kick some long range points to take the win. Next up is St Brigids on Wednesday 19 April at Boucher Road with a 7pm throw in.
