The senior footballers totally outplayed Naomh Treasa, at home to run out emphatic winners by a wide margin. It was a game in which we totally dominated the league leaders all over the park from early on and there was only going to be one winner.
While both teams exchanged points to level at 0-3 to 0-3 with Pádraig McParland, Sean O’Neill and Nathan Maginn on the mark, we were playing the more controlled football and were rewarded with a Paul McLaughlin point and then a clinical goal finish from Gerard Slane who quickly followed up with a point to have us in front at the break 1-5 to 0-3.
We continued our dominance in the second half and Naomh Treasa struggled to get any foothold in the game. Points from Sean O’Neill (0-2), Gerard Slane and Anthony Rowntree and a killer goal and point from CJ Sullivan saw us decisive winners on a score of 2-10 to 0-5.

We followed up this success with an excellent win away to Naomh Pól at Shaws Road on Sunday evening, running out victors by a goal on a scoreline of 0-9 to 1-9 and again it was another solid performance and a win which was well merited.
