Since losing to Ardoyne in Division 3 the senior footballers have picked up 3 wins from their next 4 outings. They have accounted for St Malachys, Mitchels and Ballycastle while losing to Glenravel.
Sunday 17 May 2015 – Davitts 4-9 St Malachys 2-6
We led this game at half time 1-5 to 0-3 but St Malachys came out all blazing in the second half scoring 1-2 to level the game. However at this stage we upped the tempo of the game and extended our lead to twelve points. Despite a late florish by St Malachys we ran out comfortable winners 4-9 to 2-6.

Wednesday 20 May 2015 – Glenravel 2-12 Davitts 2-6
The score line suggests that we were well beaten but doesn’t tell the true story. We started brightly and led 0-2 to no score with early points from Anto McGrattan and Gerard Burns and were well in control of the game. However, a black card for midfielder Sean O’Neill changed the whole game as we totally lost our way as Glenravel hit back to lead 1-6 to 0-2. We steadied the ship and with points from Gerard Burns and Daniel Largey and a Liam McGivern goal put us back in contention. Glenravel kicked the final point of the half to lead 1-7 t0 1-4.
A Padraig McParland pointed free followed by Liam McGivern’s second goal of the game gave us a point advantage in the second half, however we failed to push on despite having several opprotunities for further scores. We were guilty off being wasteful while in possession and Glenravel punished our errors to finish strongly and take the points 2-12 to 2-6. Click here for photos of the game.

Wednesday 3 June 2015 – Davitts 2-20 Mitchels 0-1
This was a comprehensive win over Mitchels at the Falls Park. While we scored 2-20 we did create many more chances which we failed to convert and an area where we need to be more clinical. Click here for photos of the game.

Sunday 7 June 2015 – Ballycastle 0-1 Davitts 2-12
We had another win this time on the road away to Ballycastle. A missed penalty early on, with the Ballycastle keeper making an exellent save had no impact on our performance as we adapted well to the strong wind blowing across the pitch to take the points 2-12 to 0-1. Again as in our previous game we created numerous scoring opportunities but again we need to eliminate the number of wides that we are kicking. However, on a positive note we are creating plenty of chances, we are playing our football at a high tempo which is making it diffcult for sides to defend against. Click here for photos of the game.
