The senior hurlers had an emphatic win in the league last Sunday at home to Loch Mor Dal gCais 2-18 to 0-4 but then suffered a heavy loss away to a good Glenarm side on Wednesday night 5-23 to 1-8.
Sean McElhatton top scored against Loch Mor with a personal tally of 1-4, closely followed by Chris Gallagher 0-6 and Alan Rainey 1-3. Liam McHugh chipped in with an excellent point from far out on the left hand side of the pitch, while Michael Rowntree 0-2, Tommy Mor Toland 0-1 and Canice Mooney 0-1 were our other scorers. On Wednesday night we travelled to Glenarm and while we were missing several players due to work commitments we tried our best but Glenarm on the night were too strong and ran out convincing winners.
