The young Davitts’ outing took us to Corrigan Park this morning for the Andy McCallin memorial under 8 hurling blitz.
We got off the mark with a win against Gort na Mona and continued the good form with a win over Dunloy. The third game was against a strong Ballycastle team and unfortunately the youngsters came out second best.
Next up was hosts St. John’s which saw the lads return to winning ways, followed by further successes against Rossa and St. Paul’s.
A second but narrow defeat came at the hands of a stronger St. John’s side but we bounced back in the final two games with wins over Sarsfields and St. Enda’s, recording 7 wins from 9 in the tournament.
Thanks to St.John’s for a well run event; winner of the day was definitely hurling.
